Short Bio
Jyothi K. Kumar, a resident of Bengaluru, has a hearing impairment. At the age of three, she began drawing, and by the age of five, she was enrolled at the Sheila Kothavala Institute for the Deaf. She pursued a five-year course at Ken School of Arts, where she earned a Diploma in Fine Arts.
During her time at the school, she actively participated in organizing exhibitions at Venkatappa Art Gallery. In addition to her fine arts diploma, Jyothi also earned diplomas in Computer Applications, Multimedia, and Web Multimedia.
Over the years, she has worked as a Commercial Artist, Textile Designer, and Miniature Painting Artist for various companies. She also served as an ex-committee member of the Deaf Aids Society, where she worked as a part-time drawing teacher and provided counselling to motivate senior deaf students. Currently, she works as a freelancer in Graphic Design and Painting.
