Primary skill: Retail Accounting, Vendor accounting, Vendor account creation, vendor banking, Payable exp., PO creation, electronic fund transfer

Location - Bangalore  (now remote)

Job Summary

The VSM Specialist's duties include establishing accounts in our ERP system for trade and service-
based vendors, maintaining the vendor database regularly, and updating vendor banking information
for electronic fund transfers. This role involves overseeing vendor setup processes and governance
mechanisms for managing vendor creation, maintenance, and inquiries on a daily basis. Additionally,
the VSM Specialist serves as the primary contact for end users requesting vendor creation, record
keeping, updates, and deletions in the system.

 

Core Responsibilities:
1.Maintain a high level of accuracy in all vendor setup entries.
2.Implement SOX governance.
3.Address any requests for amendments from Business Units, bank updates, vendor deactivations,
and deletions.
4.Ensure the confidentiality of vendor information, especially banking details.
5.Regularly update daily trackers and dashboards with relevant data.

6.Efficiently manage a generic mailbox.
7.Create and maintain up-to-date documentation on processes, procedures, training, and DTPs.
8.Multitask and meet deadlines effectively.
9.Adapt to day-to-day and unexpected situations.
10.Ensure that all vendor documents related to setup and maintenance are available in Lowe’s
systems.
11.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and vendor master data quality
while identifying further opportunities.
12.Assist new team members with their daily tasks and provide training.
13.Offer insights for process and operational excellence and assist in reporting.
14.Facilitate the onboarding of new team members and provide process training.
15.Assign tasks and monitor progress until completion.
16.Generate reports on metrics, numbers, and KPIs.
