Varun is a 22-year-old young adult with FragileX syndrome, a single gene cause of autism and an inherited form of intellectual disability. Varun did a short course at Sophias college on the basics of baking. He is an entrepreneur- a baker, a chef and a baking teacher. He constantly likes to learn new things and is hardworking and diligent. Varun’s Delights is a home bakery run by Varun with his mother’s support. It has a purely vegetarian menu with cakes, muffins, assorted variety of breads, tarts (sweet and savory), cookies and many more lip-smacking delicacies. He has taken in orders for birthdays by making cakes, garlic bread and many more items. He has clients who regularly order from him and have encouraged him to learn to make more items to add to his skills. He has also been teaching baking through zoom and he is passionate about it.

I am giving a lower rating because I have not yet had a chance to visit Mumbai, gorge on Varun’s goodies. Over the last few years (pre-Corona ?), trips to his house were peppered with at least one dish from his stable. A dal or a subzi, typically. Mmm ... ?. Am sure the cookies ? and baked items would melt in the mouth too. Enjoy Varun’s creations. ? ?

Varun is my Brother! I am so happy for him and he is an excellent Chef & Baker too!!! He has his own unique talent! He is also excellent in Art and Doodling! He is also crazy for Cartoonist character drawing! Proud of such a young talent! Many more laurels to be achieved. With love Ramya Akka
Will certainly vouch for and revisit Varuns cooking again and again. His cookies are full of goodness, the raisin oat cookies have raisins in every bite. You can see the skill and art in the final product. Keep it up, young man.
Varun makes the most yummy cookies and cakes. His oatmeal cookies are to die for. I have eaten his strawberry pie and apple pie. Both are out of this world. His garlic bread is an all time favourite in my house. Utterly delicious.
Varun is one of the most talented bakers I have ever met. His freshly made donuts are to die for ??? I have been obsessed with his apple pie and tarts. They are so tasty I ordered them for any and every occasion. I recently ate his gluten free apple pie and it was the best thing I have ever had the crust was crispy but not too that it would crumble at the touch and the apples had the right consistency of not overbearing sweet or dry. Made to perfection! I would and have recommended Varuns baked goodies to all my family and friends ??
Varun is a fabulous baker! He food and desserts are mouthwatering, I recently bought some garlic bread and it was just superb ? Everyone in my family loves when we order his tarts and cupcake.

I'm lucky to be Varun's neighbour so I get baked goodies hot and fresh straight off the oven! His cheese garlic bread, low sugar cakes are delicious. As also the pavs and savoury tarts.
