  • Empathy in Action: A Transformative Step Towards Disability Inclusion. We at Reliance, in collaboration with Atypical Advantage, designed an immersive day at RCP, to shift perspectives, challenge perceptions, and foster deeper understanding of disability inclusion. Through four powerful activities, employees got a glimpse into the lived experiences of People with Disabilities (PwDs): Blindfold Challenge, Sign Language Booth, Twisted Vision, and Wheelchair Maze Race. With an overwhelming attendance of 500+ employees, this event was more than just a day of activities - it was a transformative journey where empathy met action and inclusion took root. Together, we're not just envisioning change, we're living it.

  • Meet Vineet Saraiwala, founder of Atypical Advantage, a revolutionary platform that's changing the way we think about employment and disability. You may also recognize him from his impressive pitch on Shark Tank India! Recently, Vineet took a session with our employees at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) on the occasion of World Braille Day, spreading awareness and promoting inclusivity. As Vineet aptly puts it, "People with disabilities are not looking for sympathy, they are looking for opportunity."

  • I am so proud of the fact that the Nestle family constantly strives to promote Respect, Empathy, Diversity, Inclusion and above all Decency and Moderation in every action. The world is a harsh place to be in and we can control the "fragrance" of the place we call "Our Nest" for the better part of the working day! Let's make that effort. Each act of sensitivity, kindness, empathy, soothing words and a helping hand WILL POSITIVELY impact a life. So have faith in yourself and thank you Vineet Saraiwala for opening our hearts and minds at Nestle India In to it!

  • This December, we celebrated PWD Month with an immersive experience on Inclusion through an 'Experiential Learning Booth'. Employees explored simulations related to visual and hearing impairments, neurodiversity, and locomotor disabilities, fostering empathy and a deeper understanding. Organized by Atypical Advantage - India's largest livelihood platform for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) - this unique initiative encouraged us to engage our senses and strengthen our commitment to inclusivity.

  • Creativity has no limits, no labels - it flows from the heart. This workshop, 'Mindless Art' as it was called, led by an artist with Down syndrome, proves that talent is defined by vision, not circumstance. It's a story of breaking barriers and celebrating the art within us all. Will remember our interaction with you forever Gayathri. Wishing you achieve more accolades and goodness always.

  • On 23rd September 2024, we celebrated International Sign Language Day with an insightful 'Hands Up for Inclusion' virtual workshop, led by Mr. Pradeep More, Founder-Director of Pahal Foundation, in collaboration with Atypical Advantage. This unique session offered a hands-on experience in communicating with People with Hearing and Speech Impairment, helping us take a step towards a more inclusive workplace. Key takeaways included an introduction to Sign Language, Do's & Don'ts, everyday vocabulary, communication skills, and a vibrant Q&A session. Let's continue fostering inclusion and making a positive impact - both in the workplace and in our communities.

  • Day 3 - Disability Simulation immersion activities with Atypical Advantage. When I called up Vineet Saraiwala to brainstorm on what we can do to sensitize people about disability in an engaging, non-preachy way, where one feels deep emotion but not sympathy, Vineet in his usual kind but sharp demeanor gave me four solutions within 30 seconds. With a very short turnaround time, he made sure his team was there at our Head Office engaging our employees in immersion activities that left a deep impact within a matter of 5 minutes. The highlight of the day was the joy on Bunty's face, a Speech and Hearing Impaired person working in our pantry, who took charge and taught sign language to all the people who came to the stalls.

  • Experiencing Empathy at Asian Paints! Today's Empathy Building Games was a truly unique and eye-opening experience. Many were experiencing these challenges for the first time - reading in Braille, communicating through sign language, and understanding the world with twisted vision. More than just activities, it was about understanding and connecting with the experiences of Persons with Disabilities. People took time to participate, ask questions, and truly empathize, which made the session even more special. Glad to be a part of this initiative as an HR and thankful to everyone who participated!
