Description

The Maasai have given Ngorongoro Crater (Northern Tanzania) its name, which mean “the black hole”. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called the “Eden of Africa”. It’s home to the vast, world's largest volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and “big 5” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). A result of a major explosion and collapse about 2 to 3 million years ago, the Crater was officially hailed as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa in 2015.
