She is a National Award Winner “Role Model” 2019, motivational speaker and currently working with IIM-A. She is the MD of her NGO Spreading Smile Charitable Trust which works for people with disabilities on a national level. They undertook 3 major projects.

Miss Wheelchair and Mrs. Wheelchair beauty contests were organized in India for the first time in 2014. Nishtha participated in the Mrs. Wheelchair beauty contest and won it.
