Job Description
Basic Function:
The process consists of Review, research, and investigate pended Group Life claim submission with multiple coverages and complexity to determine if claim is payable in accordance with various policy provisions, manage Call-ups and outreach to groups for missing information.
Key Responsibilities
Review and assess death claim cases across multiple case types (7 claim categories)
Conduct due diligence and investigations to minimize financial risks
Manage the complete claims lifecycle from policy administration to final claim decision
Collect, verify, and analyze required documents
Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and potential risks in claim submissions
Make independent claim decisions based on policy terms, documentation, and assessment
Ensure accurate processing while maintaining customer trust and preventing fraud
Candidate Profile
Experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience
Strong experience in claims processing / claims decision making
Experience in BFSI domain preferred, especially:
o Life insurance / death claims
o Banking operations
o Mortgage loans
o Credit analysis
o Loan approvals
o Conditional approvals
o Underwriting / Pre-underwriting
Skills Required
Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal)
Strong stakeholder management ability
High attention to detail and analytical mindset
Ability to identify discrepancies and assess risks
Confident communication style as the role involves representing MetLife
Regional language knowledge is not mandatory
