Nikhil Shastry, born in 1987 in Pune, Maharashtra, is a passionate visual artist who expresses himself through painting rather than words. His journey into art began in 2004 when he joined the Academy of Commercial Arts in Pune, where he completed his degree. While technology never appealed to him, he found his voice in visual art, starting with watercolors and later mastering poster and oil colors. Living with dyslexia from an early age, Nikhil was drawn naturally to the world of art, but his path was not easy—he also struggled with paranoid psychosis, which made daily life deeply challenging. Despite these hardships, the unwavering support of his family—especially his parents (Aai and Baba) and younger brother Neeraj—helped him recognize his talent and rebuild his confidence. Through their belief in him, he found purpose and healing in painting. Today, Nikhil continues to express his inner world through works inspired by nature and divine themes. For him, art is not just a form of expression but a way of life—a means to embrace the present moment without overthinking or expecting too much from life.
