Short Bio

Soni Vyom Vishal Kumar was born on September 21, 2008, in Dhansura, Gujarat. During his early years, his family gradually realized that he faced developmental challenges, including difficulties with speech and mobility. After medical consultations with Dr. Darshana Nayak, Vyom was diagnosed with Intellectual Disability and Cerebral Palsy (C.P.). Determined to support his growth and development, his family immediately began therapies and treatment under the guidance of experienced medical professionals.

Over the years, Vyom underwent continuous medical care, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. To improve his mobility, Dr. Prakash Chauhan performed corrective leg surgery, while further rehabilitation and therapies were carried out with the support of Dr. Arth Patel and other specialists. Despite these challenges, Vyom’s journey has been marked by courage, resilience, and steady progress.

When Vyom first attended a mainstream school, he experienced social exclusion and struggled academically, which deeply affected him and his family. Seeking a more supportive environment, they enrolled him at the Blind People's Association (BPA), a decision that became a turning point in his life. Before joining BPA, Vyom was unable to hold a pencil properly. With the patience, encouragement, and dedication of his teachers and mentors, he gradually learned to draw and discovered a powerful means of self-expression through art.

What began as a therapeutic activity soon blossomed into a deep passion for drawing and painting. Vyom’s talent gained recognition when he secured a rank in a drawing competition organized by the Society for the Welfare of the Mentally Retarded (SWMR). Encouraged by this achievement, he continued to develop his artistic skills and confidence.

Today, Vyom continues his artistic journey at Navjeevan Charitable Trust, where he actively learns and creates art. Over the past four years, he has successfully participated in and exhibited his paintings at various exhibitions, inspiring audiences with his creativity, determination, and expressive artwork.

Vyom’s story is one of perseverance, transformation, and hope. Through art, he has found not only a voice, but also a way to connect with the world proving that creativity can transcend limitations and become a source of strength, joy, and inspiration.
