CHAYANIT The Chosen Ones is India’s first neurodivergent band. It was founded on a simple yet powerful belief: talent deserves space, respect, and visibility without labels. The band was founded by drummer Chayan Taneja and brings together musicians with autism, ADHD, and learning differences. For these artists, neurodivergence is not separate from their music. It shapes their expression. It deepens their sound. It brings authenticity to every performance. CHAYANIT is the musical wing of the Chayanit Foundation, a registered NGO incorporated as a Section 8 company under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The band reflects the Foundation’s broader mission to create meaningful platforms for neurodivergent individuals and celebrate ability with dignity and visibility. Chayanit is supported by Special Olympics Bharat. The band officially launched in May 2025 under the Hyundai India Art for Hope initiative and has since performed at several distinguished national platforms. The band performs Western classical, rock, and Bollywood music. Yet genre does not define them. They do not seek sympathy. They do not perform to prove a point. They simply perform. With honesty. With skill. With heart. With every stage and every song, CHAYANIT is reshaping how audiences view neurodiverse talent, placing respect first and allowing inclusion to follow naturally.
