Short Bio
Sharayu, a 21-year-old from Thane, was diagnosed with autism when she was three years old. Sharayu has been learning music and dance from a young age. She is a very passionate dancer and has been performing at programs for the last 10 years. She has been trained in Bollywood, hip-hop, and bollyclassical. She has participated and won prizes in many singing and dancing competitions which are held for special needs children. Recently she won second prize in a special category of the Special Olympics Bharat Dance competition. Other than this with the help of her mother Deepa Santosh Gosavi, Sharayu started a jewelry-making venture called ‘Deesha Creations’. She showcases and sells Handmade Jewelry and other articles on her mother’s Facebook page of Deesha Creation. She has also done a vocational training course from one of the special schools. This youngster proves that people with autism can lead an independent life with dignity and self-esteem.
