Dr. Rajalakshmi SJ is a multi-faceted achiever and an inspiring figure in the fields of medicine, sports, and disability advocacy. A President Awardee and Gold Medalist in BDS and MDS, she serves as an Associate Professor at Government Dental College, Bangalore, and is the proprietor of SJ Dental Square, a multi-speciality dental clinic. She is also the Chairperson of SJ Foundation, which works for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Crowned Miss India Wheelchair 2014 and winner of the Miss World Wheelchair Popularity title in 2017, she now serves as the Ambassador of Miss Wheelchair World in India. A decorated para table tennis player, she has won gold at the state level and bronze at the national level. Dr. Rajalakshmi has received four national awards, including the prestigious National Award from the President of India as a role model. She is also a TEDx and INK speaker, WHO-certified peer trainer, and has been recognized as one of India’s Bold Women. A passionate researcher, she has presented internationally and published in national and global journals. Her women empowerment drive saw her drive 2,700 km across Karnataka, embodying resilience and leadership in every sphere she touches.
