Yogesh Kathuniya is an Indian Paralympic athlete, specializing in the discus throw. Born on August 16, 1996, in New Delhi, he has established himself as one of India’s top para-athletes. Kathuniya competes in the F56 category, which is for athletes with lower limb impairments. He gained international recognition for his performance at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where he won the silver medal in the men's discus throw event, setting a personal best and a new national record of 44.38 meters. Kathuniya’s journey to success has been inspirational, overcoming significant challenges after a road accident led to his physical impairment. He is also a medalist at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships and continues to be a prominent figure in India's para-athletics scene
