Bhanu Prakash Sastry Sripada

Short Bio

Mr. Bhanu Prakash Sastry Sripada is a 22-year-old individual with secondary autism and epilepsy. He has been learning music for the past 14 years. Initially, he learned simple light music songs from his teacher at Saandeepani Curative Education in Hyderabad. At Saandeepani, he also received music therapy from Smt. Kamala Prakash, who holds an MA in Music. Along with therapy, Mr. Bhanu Prakash also learned various classical and semi-classical songs under her guidance.

Since 2015, he has formally been learning Annamacharya Keerthanas at Annaymacharya Bhavana Vahini, an institution founded by Padma Shri Dr. Shobha Raju. Over the years, he has learned more than 50 Keerthanas and has participated in multiple concerts, performing alongside other members. As part of these performances, Mr. Bhanu Prakash visited places such as Tirupati, Dwaraka Tirumala, and other significant locations.

Currently, Mr. Bhanu Prakash is pursuing a certification course in Carnatic vocal music at Sri Thyagaraja Government College of Music & Dance, King Koti, Hyderabad. He has completed two years of the course and is currently in his third year. As part of various festivals and events organized by the college, he has performed Annamacharya, Thyagaraja, and other light music songs. He has also performed multiple times on the virtual platform Viswa Roopa Sai Consciousness during events like Thyagaraja Aaradhana and the Durga festival.

His ambition is to complete his certification course, pursue a diploma, and eventually opt for music as a career. Mr. Bhanu Prakash obtained his secondary school certificate from the National Institute of Open Studies. He regularly attends Saandeepani Curative Education in Hyderabad, where he is also learning life skills and receiving other vocational training.
