Jijo Das is an artist, photographer, illustrator, animator and drummer from Bangalore who loves experimenting with various forms of art. He is a warm hearted and passionate soul with down syndrome. Visual learner by nature, he likes to experiment, explore and do things on his own. He was schooled in various parts of the country. There have been moments of joy, despair, anxiety and victory throughout his learning journey so far, but his consistency and willingness to improve his skills have made him do wonders. Jijo has been featured on platforms like Save Down Syndrome and Enable Magazine (UK) for his inspiring story and talents. He is the winner of Lots Of Socks Design Competition held by Down Syndrome International and the United Nations for World Down Syndrome Day 2020. He believes that we all can learn from each other. His aim is to become a professional artist and work in animation studios like Disney and Pixar someday. He wants to inspire other people with down’s syndrome to pursue art.
