Jyoti Kumari resides in Bihar, her father is a teacher at school. Jyoti was inspired by her teacher in making Madhubani Art. She came first in the drawing competition organized by the Handicrafts Department in the school, which was a motivation for her. She has her style of painting in which Ranti's Kachin style and Jitwarpur's Bharni style are amalgamated. The folk paintings made by her are appreciated by everyone. Her life's goal is to create beautiful Madhubani Paintings.
