An Unbelievable Week of Awards and Transform 😱

A full circle moment for us at the Transform event

TRANSFORM (Unilever, FCDO & EY) recently celebrated a decade of backing innovative enterprises across Africa and Asia through an inclusive programme at The Lalit, Delhi, bringing together TRANSFORM enterprises, investors, ecosystem leaders and partners under one roof. It became a full-circle moment for us, as one of the first pianists we placed in a full-time role at The Lalit, Adwitya, opened the gathering with a keyboard performance. For us, the impact wasn't captured in a presentation or reduced to numbers, it was a live example, performing in front of hundreds of leaders. Alongside him was Sandeep, one of our caricature artists, who brought his creativity to the gathering through live caricatures. Guests couldn't stop themselves from getting their caricatures drawn, and soon, his corner became one of the favourite spots at the event. Perhaps that was the most fitting way to celebrate a decade of TRANSFORM: by bringing its impact to life, one talent at a time.

Representing Atypical at one of the biggest global stages of Inclusion

Vineet Saraiwala, Founder & CEO of Atypical Advantage, was named among the five finalists for the 17th Social Entrepreneur of the Year (SEOY) India Award 2026, presented by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in partnership with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, World Economic Forum. To represent our vision and work in a room filled with leaders championing inclusion and innovation was a privilege. Being recognised as one of the finalists on a global stage was both an honour and a reminder of the larger change we are working towards. Our ambition is to build a world where persons with disabilities have equitable access to skills, meaningful employment and creative opportunities, and where platforms like Atypical Advantage are no longer needed because inclusion has become the norm.

Imparting practical inclusion tips to teachers at KIIT International

In continuation to our neurodiversity session with KIIT International School, the second session, hosted recently, focused on the everyday struggles children may experience during mealtimes and the role of support staff in navigating them. The session encouraged teachers to look beyond labels like “stubborn” or “difficult” and ask, “What might the child be experiencing?” Through real-life dining scenarios, teachers explored calm, patient and supportive ways to respond while avoiding force, pressure or yelling. With teachers actively taking notes, engaging and sharing reflections, the session left them with practical takeaways they could bring into their everyday interactions with children.

Panchkula Govt Offices to be Made Divyang-Friendly Under Universal Accessibility Norms

Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma directed all government offices in Panchkula to become fully Divyangjan-friendly in accordance with the Harmonised Guidelines and Standards for Universal Accessibility, 2021. The mandate requires barrier-free access via ramps, handrails, accessible seating, priority facilitation, dedicated accessible toilets, clear signage, and keeping at least one wheelchair available in every public office building.
