Five Cities, Countless Smiles and that ‘One more song’
The weather was harsh and time was short, but nothing could stop our performers from lighting up five Nexus Select Trust malls this Independence Day. There was a moving crowd at first, but as soon as the music reached every corner of the mall, people stopped. They gathered, they clapped, they cheered, and they danced until their feet gave up. Now imagine a mall full of children suddenly hearing Nobita and Shinchan wish them ‘Happy Independence Day’ in their own voices. The kids went wild. That was Resham, not just a singer, but a voiceover artist too. Meanwhile, visitors couldn’t stop clicking pictures with SaReGaMaPa star Karthik, and some even shed tears listening to the soulful voices of Mayuri and the Udaan Band. And when Shashank kept going beyond his time slot, it was only because children were still dancing and families were still asking for “just one more song.” That was our Independence Day with Nexus Malls; an evening of music, inclusion, and memories that will last far beyond the day itself.

The day music united everyone at Inorbit Mall
At Inorbit Mall, Independence Day celebrations turned magical. With last-minute changes in the lineup, Udaan Band and solo singer Ananya came together for a spontaneous collaboration, and the crowd loved every second of it. From all three floors, people leaned over railings to watch, while children danced their hearts out and adults joined in too, because when the right music plays, no one can resist. Balloons from Janmashtami festivities floated around, women in burqas clapped with joy, families and friends sang along, and for a moment, everyone across cultures and backgrounds was united by music. The sweetest surprise came when Inorbit Mall brought out a cake to celebrate Udaan Band’s lead, Keval’s birthday. The whole mall joined in the celebration. And to top it, the feedback said it all: “The performers were fantastic and stole our hearts. We received very positive feedback from shoppers, and it was heartening to see the enthusiasm and energy of your performers. We’re definitely looking forward to creating more such memorable and inclusive experiences together in the future.”

100 Canvases, Two Women, One Vision
As part of the ongoing Love All campaign with HDFC ERGO, our artists are creating yet another masterpiece. Not one, not two, but 100 canvases, each bursting with colour and meaning, created not by a team of many, but by just two women artists with hearing impairments, Shreya and Archana. Their artworks carry two visions of inclusion. In one, people from different walks of life stands united interconnected by wire-like figures, showcasing the beautiful collaboration of humans and technology. In the other, a tree-like figure emerged, its branches forming the silhouettes of a child, an adult, a woman, and a person with a disability. And right at the top, above everything else is a heart, quietly declaring that love is the highest principle we can live by. The project continues to move forward, with our artists actively working on the remaining components to ensure everything comes together seamlessly.
