TH!NK Neurodiversity: A bold step toward true belonging
Earlier this month, AstraZeneca India launched the India chapter of TH!NK Neurodiversity, an ERG for neurodivergent colleagues and allies, and we were proud to partner with them. While we’ve hosted many events, this one felt different. At the panel, passionate voices came together: Vineet, our Founder & CEO, spoke from the heart; Veena, a caregiver to a child on the autism spectrum, shared her raw, moving story; and leaders from AstraZeneca stood as true allies. Over 70 participants joined Varun’s lively doodling session, while four immersive booths offered a glimpse into the daily experiences of persons with disabilities.
500+ employees impacted across leading organizations through Atypical Workshops
It’s been an action-packed week for the Workshops vertical at Atypical Advantage! The team executed five impactful sessions — from Disability Sensitization workshops at Cognizant, a Neurodiversity Awareness session at Amazon, and Digital Accessibility workshops at Capgemini, to a powerful session by Vineet at Nestle for integrating individuals with visual disability. What makes this vertical stand out is its collective disability knowledge, from our founders’ expertise and our Head of Inclusive Hiring’s on-ground experience, to passionate members from the workshop team, who bring valuable insights and dedication. Together, the team impacted over 500 participants this week!
A workshop like never before: Nestlé creates something truly magical
Imagine growing up believing a person with a disability isn’t capable. And then one ordinary day at work, you step into a corporate event, only to have everything change. That’s what happened to Nestlé employees during a tile art session led by Gayatri Gupta, a confident woman with Down syndrome. The room was filled with plain tiles, each waiting for an abstract design. Gayatri, standing at the podium, wasn’t just starting a session, she was quietly dismantling biases. She laughed, painted, and clicked selfies, guiding everyone through a simple yet meaningful activity. And when those individual tiles came together, they formed a masterpiece, a bold reminder that while we may all be different, together we create something truly magnificent.
Vineet Saraiwala to receive IIM Bangalore’s Distinguished Alumni Award 2025
Vineet Saraiwala, Founder & CEO of Atypical Advantage, will be honoured with the Distinguished Alumni Award 2025 by IIM Bangalore. He will receive a citation, and his name will be etched on the Institute’s prestigious Wall of Fame. Notably, Vineet might be the youngest-ever recipient of this honour. Reflecting on the recognition, Vineet shared:
"IIM Bangalore gave me the wings to dream beyond limitations and the foundation to build a movement for inclusion. Without IIM Bangalore, the dream of building Atypical Advantage would not have existed. I am here only because the Institute gave a visually impaired boy a chance – a ticket to empower others like him.”
