What is happening at Atypical Advantage? <Tap to Know>
This week, we reached out to our team and asked Juhi, Laharee, Anjali, and Sharon about their most profound moments at Atypical Advantage. Some stories gave us goosebumps, while others brought tears to our eyes. As these experiences hold deep meaning for our team, we felt compelled to share them with you.
Like You, We can Earn Too!- Juhi
It was Mihir’s birthday—one of our Nestlé candidates (the boy sitting beside the girl). To celebrate, all the candidates went out for dinner and surprised him with thoughtful gifts—a watch, a wallet, a shirt, and an idol of Lord Ganesha. To many, this might seem like just another celebration. But for them, it’s so much more. The financial independence they’ve gained has empowered them to cherish life’s little moments, to celebrate, and to truly belong. They stayed out past midnight, yet not a single person missed work the next day. Through their jobs, they’ve built a family—one that supports and uplifts each other.
A Newborn Baby - Laharee
I’ve always worked behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly at Godrej. But having a child named after me? That was beyond my wildest dreams. I was moved to tears when Udesh told me they had named their child, Laharee. He said it was his way of expressing gratitude—for the kindness I showed him and for my role in his journey. Sometimes, the impact we have on others is far greater than we ever realize.
Life Gave Me Goosebumps- Anjali
I never imagined Tata Motors would hire persons with disabilities. So, when I saw them in their Tata Motors uniforms for the first time, it gave me goosebumps. I never thought 23 persons with disabilities could come together and bond so effortlessly. And then I watched them win a group activity—working as a team, making sure the balloon never hit the ground—it felt like life had come full circle. And just when I assumed they would use their first earnings to party, they proved me wrong. One of them said, “I want to use this to fund my sibling’s education.” That moment left me speechless.
When Patil met Patel - Sharon
Adani booked Rashmi Patil, a dancer with hearing impairment, and Ankita Patel, a visually impaired singer, for a show in Ahmedabad. When Rashmi learned she would meet Ankita, she spent days crafting handmade jewellery as a gift. When they finally met, Rashmi presented Ankita with her creation—a gesture of admiration and friendship. Ankita was deeply moved. Their connection extended beyond the stage, and later, Ankita invited Rashmi and her mother for a heartfelt dinner. That night, they both lit up the stage, and the chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, looked truly impressed.
