Mad Over Donuts brought an early Christmas cheer for our artists | Across ten Mad Over Donuts stores in the country, storefronts were transformed into a Christmas wonderland by the creativity and talent of ten artists with disabilities, each bringing their own imagination to life. Across Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata, MOD’s glass façades were painted with figures of tree, snowflakes, stars, and ornaments, woven seamlessly with Mad Over Donuts’ iconic donut motifs. 10 different locations, 10 different hands, but the same warmth shining through. “The glass façade paintings were beautifully executed and added so much character and warmth to the space. The interactions with the artists were equally meaningful and left a strong impression on our team. We’ve also received lovely compliments from our customers, who genuinely appreciated the artwork and the story behind it.” says, Srushti Khedekar, Marketing Manager, MOD. | Nivea celebrates inclusion with impactful conversations | This December, Nivea India organised a thoughtful and highly interactive Human Library experience where artists with disabilities sat with leaders in small groups, sharing real stories from their lives. From Rashmi’s journey of funding her own cochlear implant, to Sachin’s success in the advertising world to Nehal’s story of her love for stone painting, every story challenged assumptions. Towards the end, they all left their marks on canvases and each other’s hearts. Another highlight was the panel discussion hosted by Vineet Saraiwala, Founder & CEO of Atypical Advantage. The conversation revolved around the inclusive hiring journey at Beiersdorf and its future roadmap with panel consisting of leaders and decision makers from across the organisation. | ITC Ltd engages into powerful inclusive experiences in Kolkata and Bangalore | At ITC Limited, inclusion came alive across two cities: Bangalore and Kolkata. At Bangalore, employees came together for a virtual neurodiversity session and also learned through experiential learning booths. From navigating spaces blindfolded, to engaging at a sign language booth, to attempting a wheelchair maze, these activities offered a first-hand perspective on the everyday challenges persons with disabilities navigate through. Meanwhile in Kolkata, alongside a similar experiential learning booth, the day featured an engaging fireside chat and a keynote session by Vineet Saraiwala, Founder & CEO of Atypical Advantage, attended by 100+ leaders. The conversations offered practical insights into the benefits and ways of hiring persons with disabilities into manufacturing. Leaders also navigated accessibility features on their own mobile phones, realizing how small, conscious actions can create a big impact. | Atypical Advantage wishes you a Merry Christmas filled with joy, warmth, and the spirit of inclusion! | Artist with learning disability wins Historic Turner Prize | Nnena Kalu, a 59-year-old autistic artist known for her vibrant sculptures and abstract drawings, has made history by winning the UK’s premier contemporary art award.
