Short Bio
Aranya was diagnosed with Aspergers, and his love for music began when he started learning the guitar in 2008. Determined to pursue his passion for music, he enrolled at the Calcutta School of Music (CSM) in 2016 as a keyboard student, later transitioning to the piano. His hard work paid off when he received a first division in the London College of Music Grade 2 keyboard exam and was awarded the prestigious "Dancing Finger" trophy. Aranya's first public performance was at the Sandre Hall of CSM, where he played The Beatles' "And I Love Her" on the keyboard to thunderous applause from the audience. He then went on to perform in various shows, both in and out of his hometown of Kolkata and has also given many online live performances on platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. Aranya has a YouTube channel where he uploads music videos of his performances, including original compositions. He has also played in several performances at the Sandre Hall. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Western Classical Music from Rabindra Bharati University.
