Jay unlocked new milestone with Atypical Advantage | Jay Khandelwal was diagnosed with Autism at just 18 months old. He didn’t respond to his name, avoided eye contact, and often seemed lost in his own world, until the pandemic brought an unexpected turning point. Confined indoors, Jay was once given a simple list of leisure activities to choose from. He picked colouring. What started as a hobby, quietly became his profession. Browsing Atypical Advantage’s website turned into a meaningful discovery for a client from Mumbai, who fell in love with Jay’s artwork and went on to commission two pieces from him. Until now, Jay had worked mostly on small canvases, but this commission marked a bold first large-format artworks measuring 6×3 ft and 4×3 ft. A new milestone, unlocked for Jay. | Adani and Atypical Advantage launches India’s first talent competition for persons with disabilities | For far too long, persons with disabilities have been viewed through the lens of sympathy or celebrated quietly on the sidelines.
