A Hospital wall and the emotions it observes | At a hospital, walls witness countless emotions every day, joy and sorrow, anxiety and relief, fear and hope. To make these spaces a little warmer, Even Hospitals purchased three artworks made by artists with disabilities. A Log of Tough by Riza Reji is a powerful reminder that resilience is built through challenges, just as a log withstands rough seas before reaching the shore. The Mystic Horse by Gayatri Gupta is a portrayal of strength that carries us through life's uncertainties and Bouquet with Orange Flowers by Akshay Mathur is a vibrant celebration of hope that can brighten even the toughest days. Quietly sitting on the walls, these pieces offer moments of comfort, strength, and reassurance to every patient, caregiver, and visitors who passes by. | A wall that narrates a story of inclusion, empowerment, and impact, all at once | For Tata Power’s Anokha Dhaaga initiative, artist Shreya Gupta transformed two walls in Mumbai into vibrant canvases that celebrate women’s self-help groups, persons with disabilities, and farmer communities. Located at the new Anokha Dhaaga centre in Chembur, the murals bring the program’s vision to life, offering every visitor a glimpse into its purpose and reach. One mural beautifully weaves together elements of nature; sun, water, and earth, connected by a single thread, while the other, adorning the bus stop, features a striking Sambalpuri Ikat-inspired design that pays tribute to Odisha’s rich craft heritage. And the impact? It isn’t limited to a select audience. Every resident, commuter, and passerby who encounters these artworks becomes part of the story. A story of inclusion, community, and collective growth. “We truly enjoyed working with Shreya who is extremely talented and detail oriented. The design has turned out to very well and we look forward to working with her again, soon,” said Somaiah Anindya, Lead Associate, CSR, Tata Power. | Can you capture a decade of vision, leadership, and impact in a single frame? | Artist Shreekant Dubey did just that through a stunning artwork created in honour of Alok Aggarwal, MD & CEO, Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, and his remarkable journey at Brookfield. The piece brings together iconic developments and thoughtfully designed spaces that have helped shape Brookfield’s landscape over the last ten years. Every element tells a story: The architectural landmarks symbolize growth, leadership, and institution-building, while the people woven into the scene represent the communities, teams, and countless experiences made possible through these spaces. Framed by the warm glow of a rising sun, the artwork also signifies transition and new beginnings, a tribute to a journey defined by purpose and lasting impact. As a farewell gift, the Brookfield team chose to honour Mr. Alok with this artwork, a visual tribute to the vision, leadership, and enduring legacy he leaves behind. | Experts Call for a National Assistive Technology Policy for PwD Empowerment | The National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP), in partnership with Mphasis, released a landmark white paper mapping India's assistive technology ecosystem.
