At Uno Minda, inclusion is not just about Hiring | An ongoing hiring initiative at Uno Minda has led to 24 PwDs being placed across Gujarat (17) and Tamil Nadu (7), with successful onboarding of persons with hearing impairment, locomotor disability, and low vision through this initiative. Candidates have settled well into their roles and are enjoying their work. Building on this commitment to inclusion, Uno Minda also partnered with Atypical Advantage to invest in future talent. Over the past three months, 50 women with hearing impairment were trained in the employability skills program focused on workplace readiness, confidence-building, and professional development. The journey also included industrial exposure through a visit to Uno Minda’s Ahmedabad plant, providing participants with firsthand insight into manufacturing and employment. Recently, the progress of these women was celebrated in a graduation ceremony, in the presence of Suman Minda, Chairperson of the Suman Nirmal Minda Foundation (SNMF), and Manmeet Nanda, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. During the event, Manmeet Nanda delivered a deeply motivating speech that energized the room, leaving the graduates with a powerful reminder of their potential: She said, "This is not just your convocation. It is a declaration that you are ready to claim your place." | One JLL office, empowers four artists with disabilities | In just two days, four artists with disabilities transformed JLL’s Hyderabad office into a vibrant celebration of creativity and inclusion. The project featured three pre-made artworks and one commissioned masterpiece, bringing together diverse artistic styles while creating meaningful opportunities for four artists involved. The centrepiece, created by Uday, is a tribute to Hyderabad city, where heritage and modernity coexist beautifully. Anchored by the iconic Charminar, the artwork weaves together historic monuments, majestic domes, serene waters, and the city’s evolving skyline. Complementing this large-scale commission were three striking artworks by Nikhil, Pawan Sign, and Kabir, inspired by lilies, abstract forms, and the richness of Indian colours. These pieces brought depth, and visual contrast to the space emphasizing the power of inclusive collaboration. | Atypical Advantage signs a MoU with Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped | This week marked the beginning of an exciting new partnership as we signed an MoU with the Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped to facilitate skill development, training, job placements, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for students and candidates with disabilities.
