KFC is not just hiring but upskilling persons with hearing impairment | At KFC, inclusion went beyond just hiring. Over the past five months, 35+ employees with hearing impairment have been part of a focused English comprehension training program. From strengthening written skills to improving comprehension and navigating everyday workplace communication, the initiative was designed to build confidence where it matters most. “Being part of the English Comprehension Program by KFC and Atypical Advantage has been an excellent learning experience as it enhanced my communication skills, making me more comfortable using English at work. Organized in collaboration with the Haryana Yog Aayog, the initiative highlighted the role of early intervention, adaptive practices, and holistic well-being in enabling better integration into society. It reflects a larger push towards building a democracy where accessibility is not an afterthought, but a right.
