On the occasion of International Day of Sign Languages, celebrated on 23rd Sept, several companies took an initiative to train their employees with the basics of Indian Sign Language. While employees at Tata Motors learned to extend warm greetings in ISL, Tata Power employees mastered the basic alphabet, unlocking new communication channels. Nagarro's team was profoundly impacted, eagerly requesting future sessions to deepen their understanding in ISL. These inspiring examples demonstrate a clear message: employees are eager to learn and create a more inclusive work environment. All it takes is a single step from management to ignite this transformative journey.
Our disability sensitization efforts are driving inclusive workplaces across industries. We recently facilitated a sensitization session at KPMG, engaging 110+ participants and equipping performance managers with inclusive tools. Meanwhile, our Founder & CEO, Mr. Vineet Saraiwala, led a powerful session for JK Cement's leadership team in Gurgaon, exploring inclusive leadership and accessibility. With overwhelmingly positive feedback, both sessions demonstrated the impact of inclusive training, empowering leaders to create environments where everyone thrives.
Nagarro and Tata Power partnered with artists with disabilities for two impactful art events celebrating inclusion and neurodiversity. Our Gurgaon event showcased Inclusion on the theme of Thriving Together, a powerful mural crafted by Shreekant Dubey, where employees from Nagarro, couldn't stop themselves from joining the Art Party. While our Jamshedpur event featured a live mural and canvas paintings by Shreya Gupta, an artist with hearing impairment. Both events highlighted talents, promoted unity, and received widespread appreciation, reinforcing our commitment to inclusive environments.
Our year-long journey with Accenture's DSDP program has come full circle. We're grateful for the expert guidance of Mr. Sumesh Suri, India Procurement Lead, whose mentorship has been instrumental in our growth. This enriching experience has also allowed us to learn from and connect with other diversity vendors, broadening our perspectives and expertise. Special Thanks to Jaydeep for coordinating and holding up the program with such immense dedication. Here's to many more moments of learning, growing and fostering inclusion.
