Atypical Advantage mentors’ students with disabilities for placement success | What’s more important than the interview itself? The preparation that leads up to it. As the placement season kicked off at India’s premier management colleges, we stepped in to support students with disabilities through intensive one-on-one mock interviews and communication training sessions. Our expert trainers worked closely with 16 bright individuals at one of the top IIM’s, helping them build confidence, refine their communications, and prepare for their dream roles. We’re thrilled to share that all the students were placed in Day 0 & Day 1 of the placement process. They really helped me during the preparation process!” | Students with disabilities from IIM, bags summer internship for 2026 | We’re thrilled to share that students with disabilities from IIM Kozhikode and IIM Lucknow have bagged summer internship roles with one of India’s leading Skincare giant, Nivea. With the right guidance, mentorship, and belief from Atypical Advantage, their journey took a powerful turn. Their internship is set to begin in April. Last year, Atypical Advantage achieved a 100% placement record for students with disabilities across multiple IIMs in India. These changes aim to make students with disabilities feel more welcomed and independent. (Source: TOI) | Samay Raina issues public apology to people with disabilities following “India’s Got Latent” row | Comedian Samay Raina used his birthday post to publicly apologise for insensitive remarks about people with disabilities on his show India’s Got Latent. He acknowledged the backlash, expressed regret alongside fellow comedians, and pledged to be more mindful and raise awareness about disability moving forward.
