Jyoti was diagnosed with HIV in 2005 and has since dedicated her life to breaking down the walls of stigma, fear, and discrimination surrounding the disease. Her goal is to unite people against HIV and create a better world for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Jyoti remains resilient and uses her life experiences as a teacher to impart knowledge to those she counsels. Her work has been recognized by several NGOs and organizations, and she has received multiple awards including the Karmaveer Chakra, Bharat Prerna Award, and the APCOM Hero Award 2020. Jyoti uses her platform to advocate for PwDs.
