Nilanjana Sanyal is a Kolkata based Peace Advocate, Thinker & Published Author, and someone who can deftly belt out any tune; yes, she is also a good singer! Nilanjana is strongly committed to the principles of universal love, forgiveness, tolerance, global understanding, and compassion, despite her very arduous life journey of a debilitating life struggle. She has received many awards and accolades “for the promotion of peace as fruit of social justice”. Some of these awards are the ‘Bharat Excellence Award’ (2011), the ‘Best Personalities of India Award’ (2011), the ‘Karma Veer Chakra Award’ (2012), and more recently, the Public Peace Prize (2018), Canada. She has also made important contributions to discussions about sustainable and inclusive development for the rural poor, the underprivileged, the physically and mentally disabled, and for girls.
