Abhay Kanwar is pursuing PhD from TISS Mumbai. He is collating 2013 floods & 2021 glacier burst in Uttarakhand India in the light of nexus between climate change public health & media while drawing from utilitarian, Rawlsian & Sen’s capability approach. Areas of CSR, Malnutrition, Environment & Public health interests him. Before TISS Mumbai, he was working as trainer @ Youth4Jobs where he was into capacity building of visually challenged youth. He also taught at NIT Jamshedpur by offering 3 courses Environmental Engineering & Management, Principles of Management & Organisational Behaviour. He did MPhil in Planning & Development from IIT Bombay where he worked on “Capability to Access Nutrition: A Case Study of NGO Intervention in Mumbai” which focused on role of NGOs as agents and how they through their operational mechanisms restore vulnerable populations to their agency. He did masters in sociology from JNU Delhi. He has presented many papers in national and international conferences and has 3 publications.
