How Reliance Jio Talk sparked real conversations on Inclusion | At Transformance 2025, Reliance hosted a unique Jio Talk and this time, the spotlight was on inclusion. Atypical Advantage got the opportunity to lead a one-hour session that kicked off with an inclusive performance by Zuhaib Khan, our visually impaired artist, who mesmerized over 200+ people in the auditorium. What followed was not a regular sensitization talk, but an interactive, eye-opening experience. Through activities like Screen vs. Seen (spotting ableist portrayals in movie clips), a Lip-Reading Challenge, and a Signing Challenge, the audience experienced the world through the lens of persons with disabilities. The result? The room was buzzing with discussions, reflections, and realizations. For the first time, participants said they could never look at a movie scene the same way again. Many walked up to our speaker Laharee, Head of Inclusive Hiring, praising her for her depth of knowledge and passion for inclusion at such a young age. The feedback from the Reliance team was overwhelming as they loved the uniqueness of the session and expressed their eagerness to take it to the next level in the future. This wasn’t just a session but a moment of transformation, sparking conversations that matter and making inclusion feel real, relatable, and achievable. | Celebrating Strength through Differences at JLL | As part of Diversity Week: Celebrating Who We Are, JLL employees across India came together virtually for an unforgettable performance by The Shining Stars, a band of talented musicians with visual impairment. Streaming live from a Delhi studio, the band entertained more than 400 employees, who didn’t just attend, but cheered, clapped, and interacted throughout the hour-long performance. The energy was so high that when the band began taking song requests, the excitement only grew. The JLL team was thrilled with the performance, showering it with positive feedback and heartfelt compliments. Events like these remind us why creating platforms that celebrate talent, differences, and the strength of true inclusion is the need of this hour. | Spotting Bias, Building Inclusion at Michael Page Bangalore | On a busy Monday, 30+ employees at Michael Page Bangalore came together for a powerful sensitization session on inclusive hiring. Through activities like Talent Treasure Hunt and Spot the Bias, participants identified where unconscious biases creep into recruitment and how to overcome them. The energy in the room was infectious. One employee said, “I enjoyed Spot the Bias so much that I went around to other teams to discuss their cards.” The entire group remained highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions, especially around hiring persons with disabilities. Our facilitator Laharee ensured every participant felt heard, addressing individual doubts with patience and insight. With more sessions lined up for leaders and clients alike, Michael Page is taking bold steps toward embedding inclusion not just internally, but across its wider ecosystem. | What are you doing this International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD)? | As we approach IDPwD, it’s the perfect opportunity to honour and empower individuals with disabilities.
