JLL powers inclusion across 12 cities in a day | Imagine the scale of impact when, at the same time on the same day, employees in 12 different cities are requested to switch off their phones and meetings because inclusion matters more. That’s exactly what JLL did this Monday, when it rolled out a massive experiential learning workshop across India, from Kolkata to Mumbai, Bengaluru to Gurgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad and beyond. Employees experienced what it feels like to live with a disability and also met artists with disabilities face-to-face. From doodling and caricature-making to jewellery and bag workshops, each office was buzzing with creativity and conversations. Hundreds of paintings, bookmarks, earrings, and other products were sold, sometimes so quickly that artists had to create more on the spot. The energy was electric. Employees lined up for caricatures, learned inclusive language, and left with new perspective on talent and ability. Leaders weren’t just present, they were engaged, involved, and leading the way in making inclusion real for their teams. This was not a workshop but a movement. And it showed, in the most powerful way, what inclusion at JLL truly means. | Zomato’s Recruiters step into the world of Inclusive Hiring | This week, Zomato invited us for another disability sensitization session, with a focus on inclusive hiring, attended by the recruiters themselves. The session, led by Juhi (Head of Inclusive Hiring) and Soumya (Head of Inclusion Enablement), was designed to show how every role can be made open for persons with disabilities with the right support. Over 100+ employees joined us virtually and in person, diving into a session with hands-on-experience. From reimagining job descriptions through an inclusive lens to a first-of-its-kind Job Mapping exercise, the activities pushed participants to think differently. The Resume Radar challenge further helped them decode accessibility requirements for different roles, sparking conversations around accommodations and possibilities. By the end, a powerful realization set in: every role can be open to persons with disabilities, with the right accommodations. That’s the mindset shift we aim for, and Zomato is helping us make it happen. | One session, 550+ minds: SIDBI takes a giant step toward inclusion | In a powerful move, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) brought together 550+ employees from branches across India for a virtual disability sensitization session. From senior leaders to freshers, everyone logged in with one purpose: to learn how to serve customers with disabilities with empathy, dignity, and respect. The session, led by our Head of Blue-Collar Inclusive Hiring, Laharee, wasn’t just about theory, it was about shifting mindsets. She broke down real-life scenarios, shared actionable insights, and kept the audience deeply engaged throughout. What stood out was the leadership’s vision: to make sure that every customer walking into SIDBI, feels welcomed, valued, and understood. | What are you doing this International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD)? | As we approach IDPwD, it’s the perfect opportunity to honour and empower individuals with disabilities.
